Lost to the crush of anonymity

Ezra leaned back in his seat and a faint smile touched his lips. Here, he was just one more passenger on his way to Saintann. No one knew him, thanks to his disguise. For the first time in days, Ezra felt calm and safe.

He knew the sense of confidence was dangerous. One misstep and people would know who he was. That would be all it would take for Keller’s people to find him. Normally, he wanted to stand out. Today, he was just as happy to fade into the background. He could relax.
