In the Strong Branches

“Thanks,” Calliope said, as she scooped up her hat.  Looking up at Fritz, she set it on her head.  “Are you going to come down from there now?”

Fritz gave her a playful wink.  “I think I’ll just hang out here for a while,” he said, as he leaned back against the trunk.  He let one leg dangle down and he swung it back and forth.  “It’s a pretty sturdy tree, after all.”

Erik frowned at him for a moment.  Then, he reached up to grab a branch.  After a moment, he’d pulled himself up and settled back to relax.
